About Fletcher Haines

I'm Fletcher. 57 years old. Retired operations consultant from Charlotte, North Carolina. Married 31 years. Two grown kids. And for about 25 of those years, I believed a few beers with dinner was harmless.

This site exists because I spent decades feeling progressively worse — tired, foggy, puffy in the face, waking up at 3 AM — and I told myself it was just age. It wasn't age. It was my body telling me something I refused to hear.

Fletcher Haines is where I share what I've learned about health, alcohol, and feeling better after 50. I'm not a doctor. I'm not selling miracle cures. I'm a guy who almost lost his health to "normal" drinking and decided to figure out why.

The articles here are a mix of personal experience, research I've compiled, and honest conversations about what actually works. When I recommend something, I disclose it. When I'm wrong about something, I correct it.

If you're a man over 40 who's noticed the beers hitting different, the mornings getting rougher, or the energy just... fading — you're in the right place.
